The NorthWest Passage B&B is a family owned and run business. Right down to the recent renovation of the property!
Our house was built back in 1938 when the film The NorthWest Passage (starring Spencer Tracy) was filmed here in McCall, Idaho. There were several buildings built to house the staff and cast of the movie. Our home was one of them.
At some point someone turned it into a Bed and Breakfast and it remained one for many years.
When we purchased the property it was in need of some major repairs. We had a vision for this place and have taken the last year and a half to make it happen. Now, we are excited to open it as the NorthWest Passage Bed and Breakfast once again!
Although we have updated the building and changed a few things,
we are keeping the name because it just makes sense to us. So many locals are familiar with this property and its history and we want to honor that.
The original sign still sits out front.
